Accounts/Finance Assistant

Our client is currently looking for an Accounts/Finance Assistant for maternity cover. The ideal candidate will provide assistance to the Finance team, reporting directly to the Accounts Supervisor and will be part of a small accounts team at a 3rd party logistics company. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be confident on the telephone, organised, computer literature, punctual and able to work both within a team and on their own.

Attention to detail within this role is essential, and it would be useful if the candidate had worked in a similar Finance role.

This role is offered on a full-time basis, based on a 37.5-hour working week (08:30 to 17:00)

Main Duties will include (but not exhaustive):

* Raising invoices for Customers
* Debt Collection
* Able to prepare or help on the preparation of the Month-end Management Accounts. (Fixed Asset, Prepayments, Accruals)
* Turnover Analysis.
* Ad-hoc reports.
* Expenditure Analysis.

Essential Requirements

* IT literate, having good knowledge of Excel (Macros and pivot tables desirable)
* The ideal candidate is either AAT qualified or AAT level 4.
* It would be an advantage if you are currently working within a Finance department or a finance environment, or have previous experience of this type of work.

Operations Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

* Liaise with Stores, other DC’s and internal/external customers (e.g. suppliers
* To engage all external and internal customer by communicating in a friendly and professional manner ensuring that they are left with a lasting positive impression of our home delivery service
* Answering and responding to all incoming calls in a prompt and polite manner.
* Branch requests – allocating free stock to new orders
* Control and reconciliation of all trunking within the network
* To ensure that any internal/external customers queries or concerns are dealt with in a professional, friendly and courteous manner, following the relevant company guidelines
* Ensure inbound/outbound paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
* Adhering to strict SLA’s when actioning Eforms and internal emails from other departments
* Produce statistics when required.
* Escalating all risks/relevant queries to the Administration Manager as appropriate.
* To comply with procedures and processes to ensure the effective, efficient and professional operation of Warehouse Administration.
* Monitor and chase documentation in support of the warehouse operation.
* Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet needs of Warehouse Administration.
