Transport Manager

Based in Teesside, you will also be required to travel to the site in Stoke, the job holder will be responsible for the planning and delivery of all finished goods to end customers in the UK. The finished goods will be transported via company vehicles. The job holder will also be responsible for organising any deliveries / pick ups from various third party suppliers in the UK.

Roles and Responsibilities

To work closely with the manufacturing dept in order to produce an achievable weekly delivery schedule.
To organise staff / transport availability to ensure finished goods are delivered on time and in full.
Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details, payment confirmation, accessibility etc.
Management, servicing and licensing of the vehicle fleet to ensure road worthiness at all times
To continuously monitor the delivery performance and be responsible for the introduction of departmental improvements, ensuring KPI’s are achieved.
Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and all transport legislation
Generate delivery paperwork and ensure any special instructions are detailed
Any other reasonable duties as required
Some hands on work may also be required to cover Holidays & Sickness.

The job holder will require excellent interpersonal skills as the role demands very effective communication both internally and externally at all times.The job holder will be required to have strong strategic influencing skills within the rest of the business in order to be successful.

The vacancy is for a Principal Structural Engineer to join our structural engineering team based within the civil engineering business in our East Grinstead office. We are seeking candidates with significant postgraduate experience who are Chartered Engineers and have experience in the design and construction of heavy civil engineering structures. The successful candidate will lead project design teams in the buildings structures discipline.

Requirements:

Essential

– Degree in civil engineering.
– Chartered Engineer through the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
– Significant post graduate experience of the design of bridges, tunnels or other civil engineering structures in the road and/or rail sector.
– Detailed experience in one or more of the following: reinforced concrete or pre stressed concrete bridges, steel bridges, cut and cover tunnels or immersed tunnels, underground station structures or large earth retaining structures.
– Experience of the application of structural analysis software such as Lusas.
– Excellent knowledge the DMRB requirements and/or Network Rail standards.
– Experience of operating within quality management procedures.
– Experience of Highways England, local authority or Network rail design and technical approval processes.
– Full UK driving licence.

– Experience of working with contractors on design and build projects.
– Experience of the maintenance of road or rail bridges and structures.

I am working with a leading Building and Design Consultancy who are looking for a Revit MEP Technician to join their Glasgow based multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires an experienced REVIT / CAD MEP Technician, working across NHS, Higher Education and Commercial projects, who has worked within the UK market with a M&E Consultant. You will be expected to assist the in-house Engineers with project delivery as well as producing and draughting models.
